May 2025 - Quantum Space is proud to announce that Orbit Systems, our joint venture with Astro Digital, has been awarded a significant contract under the Space Test Experiments Platform-2.0 (STEP-2.0) program by the United States Space Force (USSF).

This award marks a major milestone in our mission to support the U.S. Space Force’s next generation of agile and responsive space capabilities. As the USSF works to accelerate the deployment, maneuverability, and experimentation of space technologies, the Quantum Space–Astro Digital team will deliver flexible platforms and rapid access to space tailored to the evolving demands of national defense.

Orbit Systems was selected to help fulfill the STEP-2.0 program’s objective: to increase the Department of Defense’s ability to test and demonstrate innovative space-based technologies in relevant orbits. This includes delivering critical payloads to complex orbits, supporting high-value national security missions, and laying the groundwork for next-generation in-space operations.

“This award represents growing confidence in our team’s ability to meet the unique technical and operational challenges of the U.S. Space Force,” said Kerry Wisnosky, CEO. “We are honored to partner with Astro Digital and the USSF to contribute to a program that plays such a pivotal role in the future of space innovation and defense.”

The STEP-2.0 program exemplifies the U.S. Space Force’s commitment to working with innovative commercial partners to outpace emerging threats and maintain a competitive edge in the space domain. Quantum Space and Astro Digital bring a shared vision and proven capabilities to help realize that goal.
